Budget Preparation and Maintenance

The General Ledger module supports the preparation and maintenance of multiple budgets for multiple budget years.  This facilitates preparing a budget for a later year before closing the current year.  Within each year, multiple different sets of budget amounts can be maintained.  Each set of budget amounts within a budget year is called a budget sequence.  Multiple budget sequences within a budget year are used to prepare and report against revised and forecast budgets without destroying the original budget or plan for the year.
