Planning Action Summary

The Planning Action Summary Report summarizes either the actual or simulated results of the Requirements Planning Generation programs (RP100E for MRP parts and RP105E for JIT parts).

The summary report shows the total demand, projected inventory (based on the current schedule), and coverage (projected inventory divided by demand) for each period.  The information above is also shown on the overview report (RP540B).  The summary report, however, also includes the following information for each period:

¾ Total supply scheduled for each period (according to the current schedule)

¾ Resulting inventory (inventory that would be on hand if the recommended changes were made to the schedule)

¾ Quantities due to be transferred into the plant (from transfer orders and transfer requisitions)

¾ Quantities due to be transferred out of the plant (from transfer orders and transfer requisitions)

For more information about what specific changes are recommended, the user should request the Planning Action Detail report (RP530A and RP530B).

This report is requested through the Planning Action Summary Report option on the Requirements Planning Application Menu.
