Planning Action Summary Report - Purpose
RP540E
The Planning Action Summary Report program (RP540E) prints the Planning Action Summary report (RP540A) and the Planning Action Overview report (RP540B). These reports contain the results of the most recent execution of the Requirements Planning Generation programs (RP100E and RP105E).
Requests for the report were entered online and validated by the Planning Action Report Request program (RP310E). They are retrieved from the Planning Action Report Request file (RP310AP1).
For each part that meets the criteria in the report request, this program totals the supply and demand quantities for each period from the Planning Action Report Detail files (RP515AL2 and RP515AL4), determines the projected inventory for each period, calculates the number of periods whose demand would be covered by that projected inventory, and calculates the total inventory that would result if the recommended actions were taken (resulting inventory is totaled from the Planning Action Report Resulting Inventory files (RP515AL3 and RP515AL5)).
