Order/Requirements Purge - Purpose

The Order/Requirements Purge program (IC060E) deletes closed manufacturing orders and their component and labor requirements, closed customer orders (header and detail), and closed forecast orders (header and detail) from their respective master files if they fall within the purge horizon.  (Note:  Labor requirements records are deleted only if the Shop Floor Control application is installed.  Customer order records are deleted only if the Order Processing application is not installed.)

A report is printed detailing which orders have been deleted; file summary reports are also printed.  This purge program is called from the System File Support Menu (Option 3, File Options 13 and 15) where a horizon date is entered.  All records eligible for deletion are deleted up to that horizon date.  The control language program which calls the purge program reorganizes the master files after this program finishes.
