A. Housekeeping
1. In addition to the Reference File categories described in the Common Processing Routines - Housekeeping section, the following records are retrieved from the Reference file (REFERP):
a. The company name is retrieved from category G21.
B. Mainline
1. On the Label Maintenance Function Select screen (GA160S01), the user specifies the proposal number, part, and label type. The validation is performed by PMTVAL. One of several screens may appear depending on the entered label type:
· type 1: Packaging Unit screen (GA160S02)
· type 2: Handling Unit screen (GA160S03)
· type 3: Simplified Handling Unit screen (GA160S02)
· type 4: Mixed Handling Unit screen (GA160S04)
2. The Label Maintenance Packaging Unit/Simplified Handling Unit screen (GA160S02) lets the user create any number of packaging or simplified handling unit labels. If the user presses F22, validation is performed (LUCVAL), the next available label number is retrieved from category G04 (NUMVAL), and the Label Master (GA160M) is updated (LUCUPD).
3. Associating packaging unit labels to a handling unit is done on the Label Maintenance Handling Unit Relationship screen (GA160S03). If the user presses F22, validation is performed (LUMVAL), the next available label number is retrieved from category G04 (NUMVAL), and the Label Master (GA160M) is updated (LUMUPD).
4. Associating packaging unit labels to a mixed handling unit is performed on the Label Maintenance Mixed Handling Unit Relationship screen (GA160S04). If the user presses F22, validation is performed (LMMVAL), the next available label number is retrieved from category G04 (NUMVAL), and the Label Master (GA160M) is updated (LMMUPD).
