Auto-Starting Asynchronous Monitors
Auto-Starting Asynchronous Monitors
You can set up MAC-PAC so that all monitors are started and ended automatically when QINTER is brought up or brought down. To implement auto-start, you must add a job queue entry for each monitor to the QINTER job queue.
Note: We recommend that you end QINTER before you begin any end-of-day processing, and that you restart it after checking for failed off-line transactions. This ensures that no user enters MAC-PAC during batch processing.
If an auto-start job monitor ends abnormally, you will have to bring QINTER down and bring it back up again to restart the job. For more information about how to set up the asynchronous monitors as auto-start jobs, refer to the Installation Guide.
