Code Block Definition
The general ledger account is the lowest level of reporting in the General Ledger module. Each account can be associated either with a center that is associated with a location, or directly with a location. The location definition consists of two fields, company and location. The company-location-account-center or company-location-account are combined to create a unique general ledger coding block. This coding block is illustrated below. All transactions are recorded against general ledger accounts identified by unique coding blocks. The 10-position account number and 10-position center number are completely flexible and may be structured to meet user requirements.
