EDI Transaction Processing in a CID Environment
Computer Integrated Distribution (CID) is the concept of orders being received from a customer, sourced from a remote site, and then shipped from the remote site back to the sales office or directly to the end customer. MAC-PAC's Electronic Data Interchange capabilities enhance these transactions by allowing transaction data to be passed electronically between sites (including outside customers and vendors). For more information about CID, refer to the Computer Integrated Distribution Overview key concept in the Purchasing or Order Processing User Manuals. This key concept explains the use of EDI in a Computer Integrated Distribution environment.
