EDI Transactions Available in a CID Scenario

The flow of EDI information can be broken down into seven functional segments:

·    Outbound Purchase Orders

·    Outbound Order Acknowledgments

·    Outbound Shipments/BOLs

·    Outbound Invoices

·    Inbound Sales Orders

·    Inbound PO/SO Acknowledgments

·    Inbound Receipts

Processing differs according to location and the number of CID components used.  The following discussion presents all possible EDI transactions from the perspective of each business location.  The graphics, however, only highlight EDI direct distribution processing.  Throughout this document, "you" refers to personnel in the location being discussed.  For a summary of EDI transactions, refer to the key concept "MAC-PAC's EDI Capabilities."
