Requirements Planning Batch Forecast Consumption - Purpose

RP130E

The Requirements Planning Batch Forecast Consumption program (RP130E) is called by RP100E, RP105E, and RP106E prior to the ANALYZE logic in any of the RP programs.  The purpose of the program is to take forecast records (MS150M) and “net” them against requirements, as follows by the possible combinations provided by the new P/M Forecast Consumption Code:

0 - No Consumption,
1 - Sales/Transfer Orders/Transfer Reqs Only,
2 - Comp/Flow Requirements Only, or
3 - All Requirements

The RP programs call RP130E.  The RP programs send in, as parameters, the following:  part number, plant, company, warehouse, calendar code, consumption code, RP Demand Code, RP Run Mode (‘A’ -Actual, ‘S’-Simulation), forecast consumption period (see below), target inventory (defined in DAYS for demand codes ‘D’, ‘R’ , and ‘S’), safety stock,  program Mode (5 digit, either ‘RPGEN’ if called by RP programs, or ‘REQST’ if running separate from RP)  and RP Run Date (either today or tomorrow).
