RP Gen Front-End - Purpose
RP010E
The RP Gen Front-End program (RP010E) performs the front end processing required for the Requirements Planning Generation program (RP100E), the Requirements Planning Generation program for JIT Parts (RP105E), and the Requirements Planning Generation program for Job-Controlled Parts (RP106E). This program loops through all plants and does the following processing. If a full regeneration is to be performed, the net change flag is set on for each part. If a net change generation is to be performed, the net change flag is set for each parent part that has a build-through component part whose net change flag is on. Also, if a net change generation is selected and the flow interval for JIT parts has changed since a generation was last run, the net change flag is set to reanalyze for each JIT part. If selective generation is selected, all parts meeting the selection criteria (part number, family ID, planner code) will have their net change flag set on. If the generation program is being restarted, all file cleanup is performed.
If a part to be generated is specified on Reference File category D85 as a family to be excluded, the part will not be selected for generation.
