RS Determination of the Run Date - Purpose
RS160E
The RS Determination of the Run Date program (RS160E) determines the run date depending on the time in Reference File category G50. Typically delivery schedules are processed nightly and sent out the following day. Thus this program usually calculates the run date as today's date plus one day. If the job queues are loaded, however, and the nightly processing does not begin until the next morning, then the run date will be equal to the system date.
For example, if the nightly process begins at 10:30 p.m. (22:30) on November 1, and the time set on Reference File category G50 is 5:30 a.m. (05:30), then the run date will be November 2. If the job does not process until 1:30 a.m. on November 2, the run date will also be November 2.
