Product Cost Analysis - Purpose

The Product Cost Analysis program (PC810E) displays material, labor, and overhead cost information for a requested part. Cost elements of a requested part can also be displayed. Material costs are displayed for manufactured, planning, and build-thru parts. Labor and overhead costs are displayed for manufactured parts. Operation detail costs can be displayed via the labor costs selection. Summary cost information may be displayed for any part type.
The material, labor, and overhead costs are retrieved from the Part Master file (DE100M). The Product Structure file (DE120M) is used to build single-level bills of material that are used to display material costs. Cost element information is retrieved from the Part Costs file (DE105M). Labor and overhead costs are calculated from information retrieved from the Workcenter (ME100M) and Routing (ME120M) files. Operational detail costs are determined from the Workcenter Rates file (ME105M) and the Miscellaneous Cost files (ME160M1 and ME160M2).
