MS165E
The Tentative Master Schedule Maintenance - Asynchronous program (MS165E) maintains the Tentative Master Schedule file (MS160M) in asynchronous processing mode.
Master schedule updates are entered online and recorded in the Master Schedule Maintenance Transaction file (MS160AP) by the Tentative Master Schedule Maintenance program (MS160E). The online program places a request in the asynchronous message queue for every part number to be updated. The Tentative Master Schedule Maintenance - Asynchronous program (MS165E) is invoked by this message queue, the performs the update of the Tentative Master Schedule file (MS160M) using the transaction records in the Master Schedule Maintenance Transaction file (MS160AP).
Each message provides the batch program with the plant, part number for which the tentative schedule is to be updated, as well as a range of dates in which schedule quantities have been modified. The Tentative Master Schedule Maintenance program - Asynchronous is executed once for every message in the asynchronous message queue.
Transactions processed asynchronously are recorded in the Master Schedule Transaction Register file (MS505AL). Updates to the Tentative Master Schedule file (MS160M) are listed in the Master Schedule Maintenance Audit Trail file (MS495AL).
A message indicating successful completion of the Master Schedule Maintenance of the part number is sent back to the user's workstation.
