Multi-Level Forecast Generation - Purpose
MS130E
The Multi-Level Forecast Generation program (MS130E) creates forecast records for components based on parent forecast records. The program processes all the parts for each requested plant. The forecast of the parent is exploded down the Bill of Material to create forecast records for the components.
The Quantity Per, Part Master Scrap Factor, and Product Structure Scrap Factor are taken into account when the forecast quantity is calculated. The Lead Time and Offset Days are taken into account when the Forecast Date is calculated.
Demand records are not created for Build-Thru Parts, Produced Parts, or parts that are Reference Parts on the Bill of Material. The Multi-Level Forecast Flag on the Part Master of the parent and the component must be 'yes' for the forecast to be exploded. Only demand from the Manufacturing Company/Warehouse is exploded.
The program writes a report showing all the parts processed for a plant.
