Multi-line Routing Maintenance - Online - Purpose
ME135E
The Multi-Line Routing Maintenance - Online program (ME135E) allows for maintenance of routing records for manufactured or transfer parts which are active. A user may add, change, or delete records for all four routing types: primary, alternate, master, and comment. Once changes are entered, the program updates the Routing file with the new data.
The basic processing flow for this program is as follows:
· The program displays a screen prompting the user to enter a part number.
· Once the part number is entered, the program displays all of the routing records associated with the part in sequence number order on the selection screen. If no routing records exist for the part, the select screen is displayed with blank subfile lines and a work line at the bottom of the screen.
· To maintain a line, the user enters the sequence number of the line and the maintenance code on the work line at the bottom of the screen.
To update an operation or comment, enter the sequence number of the line and a 'U' for the maintenance code.
To delete an operation or comment, enter the sequence number of the line and a 'D' for the maintenance code.
To add a new operation line, only the maintenance code is required since the program automatically determines the sequence number based on the operation number. The maintenance codes are 'A' for a standard operation, 'M' for a master operation, and 'C' for a comment record.
· The program then displays a "work line" at the bottom of the screen. This work line allows you to update the fields associated with the operation line, or confirm the deletion of a line.
· The user may also maintain operation lines through the use of a detail screen by entering the sequence number of the line and pressing F4. A detail screen will be displayed listing all of the information on the work line. Pressing F4 again switches the user back to the selection screen.
