Unplanned Usage Recording - Purpose
JT170E
In online mode, the Unplanned Usage Recording program (JT170E) allows the user to enter any unplanned material usage at the component level. The program will then relieve the inventory balances for the part. If the user specifies only a parent part on the select screen, the detail screen will show all components for the part, where the user can enter transactions. Otherwise, the transaction will be processed for the component part specified on the select screen. Transactions with errors are redisplayed to the user with the fields in error highlighted. Accompanying error messages are also displayed for each invalid field.
The program also processes Electronic Data Collection (EDC) unplanned usage transactions in asynchronous mode. The asynchronous message triggers the program to start in EDC mode. A record is validated. Valid records are processed and deleted from the EDC Transaction file (JT170DP). Invalid records are flagged for future use by the EDC Unplanned Usage Error Maintenance program (BC170E). Messages are sent to EDC message queue (BCMSGQ) to inform the user of a successful or unsuccessful record posting.
