Deduct Point Relief - Online - Purpose

The Deduct Point Relief - Online program (JT140E) allows entry of deduct point issue transactions, which allow components to be relieved before the parent part is actually received in order to avoid inventory inaccuracy caused by long final assembly lead times. Each transaction is validated online and then written to an asynchronous transaction file if valid. A message is then sent to a queue to call the Deduct Point Issues program (JT145E) to process the transactions asynchronously. This program is connected by F9 to the Inventory Stock Status Inquiry program (IC820E).
