Deduct Point Relief - Async - Purpose

JT145E

The Deduct Point Relief - Async program (JT145E) processes deduct point issues.  It is called from the asynchronous monitor, JTASYNCMON, when the monitor receives a message from the Deduct Point Issues Data Entry program (JT140E) or from the Electronic Data Collection Router program (BC200E).  When called from the async monitor, the program reads a record from the Deduct Point Asynchronous Transaction file (JT140DP), which is formatted in the Deduct Point Issues Data Entry program, or in the Electronic Data Collection Router program.

For each transaction record, the program processes issues for the components with the indicated parent/revision level and operation number.  Inventories of these components are updated on the Warehouse Balance (IC140M) and Multiple Location (IC130M) files.  The net change flag on the Part Master file (DE100M) is also updated.

After processing the component issues, control is passed back to the async monitor.  A message is displayed to the user or the EDC message queue, depending on the processing mode of the program, indicating that processing has been completed.  The message indicates whether the receipt was successful, partially successful, or unsuccessful.

Error messages are written to the Transaction Error Register (IC505AP).  For EDC transactions, critical errors are not written to this file, because these errors may be reviewed and corrected online using the Deduct Point Issue Error Maintenance program (BC140E).
