Inventory Control File Create - Purpose

The Inventory Control File Create program (IC010E) initializes all master files in the Inventory Control application. The files are physically created during the initial compilation routine of the installation procedure, but cannot be used until they are initialized by this program. Each master file is initialized by writing a file control record to the master file. Only one file is initialized each time the program is run. The file to be initialized is passed as a parameter from the System File Support Menu Control Language program (IC010CLP). Any errors encountered in this program are displayed on the File Support Menu.
