Bucketing and Year-End Processing - Purpose

The Bucketing and Year-End Processing program (IC090E) reads the Audit Trail file and performs year-end, month-end and daily processing, depending on the current system date. It is called as part of the IC Audit Trail Print jobstream (CL program ICAUDITRPT) Daily processing is used to update the activity buckets on the Warehouse Balance file. Month-end processing is used to roll the activity buckets in the Warehouse Balance file. In year-end processing, the activity buckets are rolled, year-to-date accumulator fields in the Warehouse Balance and Warehouse Description files are cleared, and the Beginning month/year (used to indicate the beginning of the fiscal year) is updated on the System Control file.
