ABC Classification Request - Purpose
IC240E
The ABC Classification Request program (IC240E) initiates the assignment of parts within a warehouse to ABC classes. The program formats select and detail screens that are used to assign ABC classification parameters. The parameters are retrieved from and/or written to the Warehouse Description file (IC170M). A transaction record of the request for ABC analysis is written to the ABC Analysis Request Transaction file (IC240E). The transaction file is read later by a batch program to begin the actual ABC classification.
The select and detail screens are actually two views of one screen.
