Revision Level Maintenance - Purpose
DE170E
The Revision Level Maintenance program (DE170E) enables the user to add, change, and delete revision levels for a part. A revision level may be added for an active part at a specific plant as long as the revision number and effectivity date fall sequentially between the other revision levels for that part. An existing revision level can be changed as long as it is not the current revision level for the part. In that case, the effectivity date may not be changed, although the description can. Revision levels may be deleted for a part as long as it is not the current revision level and as long as there are no flow authorizations associated with the revision level being deleted. A part's net change flag on the Part Master file (DE100M) will be set to replanning if a current or future revision level is added or deleted or if the effectivity date is changed. The command key F9 allows the user to call the Revision Level Inquiry program (DE850E).
