Related Items Maintenance and Inquiry - Purpose

The Related Items Maintenance and Inquiry program (DE250E) will allow you to enter a complementary and/or substitute relationship between parts. It will be a one screen conversation, with a part number and description displayed at the top and a detail subfile.   The detail subfile will include the related item, the related item description, a code indicating the relationship type, and the decode for this type.  (The type code will come from a new reference file category that will be sent out with two initial values -- substitute and complementary.)  A select field exists so that a line can be deleted.  This same program will be used for both maintenance and inquiry.  There will be two different menu options corresponding to two different CL programs.  The CL programs will send a flag indicating whether the program is called in update mode or inquiry mode.
