RP Maintain Flow Supply for MRP Parts - Purpose
DE080E
The RP Maintain Flow Supply for MRP Parts program (DE080E) is called from the Requirements Planning Generation program (RP100E). It closes past-due flow authorizations, ends in-process flow authorizations, and deletes future flow authorizations for MRP parts. It also modifies the flow requirements that correspond to these flow authorizations. It is called only if flow authorizations exist for MRP parts. This program in turn uses the following common processing routines: MNTSUP (Maintain Supply), ENDFA (End Flow Authorization), and CHDLFR (Change or Delete Flow Requirements).
The only time flow authorizations will exist for MRP parts is when a part's production type has been changed (on the Part Master file) from JIT to MRP. This change rarely occurs. When it does, the existing flow supply should be disregarded. This program is called to delete all flow supply for the MRP part.
