Product Structure Mass Change - Product

The Product Structure Mass Change program (DE125E) replaces one component part with another in every applicable product structure where it is used, or performs a mass delete of a component part in every product structure where it is used.
The original and replacement part numbers are entered online. The program locates each product structure that uses the original component and creates maintenance transactions to the Product Structure Maintenance Transaction file (DE120AP1). The maintenance transactions are processed off-line by the Product Structure Maintenance program (DE120E). If performing a mass delete, the pseudonym *DELETE or *NONE should be used in the replacement part field, left-justified, in order to either physically delete the component's product structure records, or to place the record out-of-effect as of today, respectively. The second option permits the historical information of the product structure record to be maintained while placing the part out-of-effect in all bills of material.
The Product Structure Mass Change/Delete program can also be used to recalculate the Quantity Per for a component in each product structure where that component appears or in the new product structure records created for the replacement component.
