Part Master Maintenance - On Line Update - Purpose

The Part Master Maintenance - On Line Update program (DE100E) adds, changes, deletes, and reactivates records on the Part Master file (DE100M). All transactions are entered and validated online. A valid transaction is posted to the Part Master file, and an audit trail record and transaction register records are written. Transactions with errors are redisplayed to the user with the fields in error highlighted. Accompanying error messages are also displayed for each invalid field.
