Engineering Change Maintenance - Purpose

The Engineering Change Maintenance program (DE160E) adds new engineering change orders to the data base and maintains existing engineering orders. All orders are entered and validated online. A valid transaction is posted to the Engineering Changes file (DE160M), and an audit trail record is written to the Engineering Change Audit Trail file (DE160BP). Transactions with errors are redisplayed to the user with the field in error highlighted. Accompanying error messages are also displayed for each invalid field.
