Build-Thru Part Net Change Flag Maintenance - Purpose
DE115E
The Build-Thru Part Net Change Flag Maintenance program (DE115E) is called by the Part Master Maintenance (DE100E) and the Batch Part Master Maintenance Update (DE110E) programs when a build-thru part is changed to a different part type. This program resets the net change flag (PMNCFL) for the parent part on the Part Master file (DE100M) to '2' (replanning) for all parent parts of a build-thru part whose part type has changed. The parent parts must be replanned at all necessary levels in the product structure because the part which was formerly a build-thru part is now an actual component of the parent part. Requirements must be generated for the former build-thru part, which is now a component, with the only source demand coming from the parent part.
Build through parts can also be parents of build-thru parts. In this case, the build-thru parent of the build-thru child part whose type has changed, is loaded into an array. That array is then processed in the same manner.
