Accounting Cost Generation Request - Purpose

The Accounting Cost Generation Request program (IA310E) generates request records for the Accounting Cost Generation program (IA100E). The user may select one of the following options:
· All parts
· A range of parts
· Selected part numbers
· All workcenters
· A range of workcenters
· Selected workcenters
· All parts and workcenters
· All Configuration Costed Parts
· Selected Configuration Codes
· All New Configuration Costs
Each request is written to the Accounting Cost Generation Request file (IA310AP). If selected parts or workcenters are selected, each selection request is written to the Accounting Cost Generation Part Transaction file (IA300AP1) or the Accounting Cost Generation Workcenter Transaction file (IA300AP2), respectively. In these cases, the Accounting Cost Generation Request file (IA310AP) serves as a header record and is linked to the select transaction files using the same reference ID, date and time.
