Journal Report Print and Purge - Purpose
GL140P
The Journal Report Print and Purge program (GL140P) is called by the Journal Inquiry program (GL130E) to either delete an allocation journal and print the journal transaction, or to simply print the journal that was passed from GL130E via a print request. In the case of a deletion, the journal is not actually removed from the file. Instead, control totals are doubled and a new transaction is written to negate the effect of each detail transaction. The entire journal is then printed on the Journal Inquiry report.
