Data Base Audit/Purge - Purpose
AR770P
The Data Base Audit/Purge program (AR770P) performs two functions--data base audit and data base purge. The data base audit verifies that all file interdependencies are valid and prints old and corrected values for invalid records. The lowest-level files are always assumed to be correct. Therefore, only higher-level files are identified to be corrected throughout the audit. Data base purge physically removes all records with balances reduced to zero before the cutoff date, and with no data base errors. It will not remove, however, lower level records (distributions, comments, or applications) that do not have corresponding headers. These records will be skipped. These three functions are performed based on parameters that are passed to the program.
