Activity Log File Print - Purpose

AR760L

The Activity Log File Print program (AR760L) produces the Data Base Activity Log report (AR760).  The report lists all valid and invalid records for the New Activity Log file (AR760AP) in sequential order, and can be requested in either summary or detail format based on a flag on Reference File category P43, Report Options.

Three accumulators are used to sum the total net change to the A/R Balance, Total Amount Posted, and Total Payments fields.  Although the report lists valid and invalid records, the accumulators are only incremented for valid records.  The final totals are used as inputs to the ending balance record.  After the report is created, the data in the New Activity Log file is copied into the Activity Log file (ARLOGP), and the New Activity Log file is cleared of all data.
