Trial Balance Report - Purpose

The Trial Balance Report program (AP600E) reads through open item header records that existed on or before a user-specified cutoff date. Using the Payment Applications file, the program determines the correct open liability for each open item within the cutoff date. Each open item is written to the Accounts Payable Trial Balance report (AP600A), and the open liability amounts are added to the account/center total. The program also reads through the Payment Headers file and reports all on-account payments that existed on or before the cutoff date. Each header record is written to the report, and the record's payment-on-account amount is added to the account/center total.
