VDA Synchro Advance Netting - Purpose
GA224E2
The VDA Synchro Advance Netting program (GA224E2) calculates the net quantity for each offset release, which is used to determine the demand for Synchro parts in Requirements Planning and Master Scheduling if there is an over-shipment (advance) for VDA ship-to customers. Because netting always needs to be done when there is an advance, this program can be called by three programs, each of which can cause an advance: GABATCH, Shipping List Maintenance (GA145E), and Synchronization Maintenance (GA181E). Because the processing of a new VDA delivery request generates every release, even those in the past, it is possible that any blocked release could have a non-zero quantity, thus creating false demand. Therefore, blocked releases are taken into account when a shipment is processed.
