VDA Re-Opening Delivery-Request by Change Flag - Purpose
GA207E2
The VDA Re-Opening Delivery-Request by Change Flag program (GA207E2) re-opens records in the Delivery Request file (GA210ML8) based on the item/delivery point change flag.
The program reads all item/delivery point records with a change flag equal to "yes" in the VDA Part-Delivery Point Change/Delivery Rules Logical file (GA120JL5). Just before the final update of these records, the program also checks the Part Delivery Point - Changed Transactions Logical file (GA120MLZ). For each item/delivery point record with a change flag equal to "Yes", the program retrieves all corresponding delivery requests from the Delivery Request file (GA210ML8). If a corresponding delivery request line has a status of split (E) or blocked (B) and a request quantity not equal to zero, the program resets the status of the request to "open". Once the program resets the status of the delivery requests, they can be split again by the VDA Offset Release Generation program (GA200E2).
For each release which is re-opened, all corresponding offset releases are purged.
