Synchro Shipments Forwarding - Purpose
GA222E
The Synchro Shipments Forwarding program (GA222E) creates new releases for backorders in the Backlog Release file (GA220AP) for each item/delivery point relationship The backorder/advance, called backlog quantity, is defined as the difference between planned shipments (expressed by the quantities associated with a shipping proposal) and the completed shipments, which are the cumulative quantities shipped for different shipping lists for a certain item/delivery point relationship. The backlog quantity is contained in field DPBKLQ on the Item/Delivery Point file (GA120M2). A negative value corresponds with a backlog, a positive value means a delivery advance. The Picker Generation program (GA230E) will process all backlog releases on GA220AP by either adding the backlog quantity to an existing due offset release or creating a new shipping proposal line from the backorder.
