Synchro EDI Delivery Request Transaction Review - Purpose
GA340E
The Synchro EDI Delivery Request Transaction Review program (GA340E) is responsible for review of delivery request transactions which have encountered validation errors in the ANSI Acquisition processing. This transaction review conversation will not display those transactions which have been successfully received. This conversion will only be valid in the ANSI EDI environment. Another conversation handles ODETTE and VDA error correction processing.
The workfiles this program uses are populated by a third party program. The third party program is responsible for translating the EDI Planning Schedule document (ANSI 830) into the Delivery Request Acquisition Header and Line Workfiles.
Once a transaction that is in error has been corrected, you have the ability to test whether the transaction will pass the acquisition processing by selecting the simulation function key (F20). During the simulation process, the appropriate acquisition program will be called online in a non-update mode to run through the same validation processing the transaction has to pass before being successfully acquired. If an error does occur, the acquisition program will generate a report in your spooled files detailing the errors that occurred.
