Labels generated through the Synchro module identify the contents of a shipment. Different information is printed on the labels depending on the type of label created. VDA processing supports four types of labels:
1 - Packaging unit label. This label corresponds to the unit in which an item is packaged after manufacturing.
2 - Main handling unit label. This label corresponds to the method in which an item is handled and shipped.
3 - Simplified handling unit label. This label is a combination of the packaging unit label and main handling unit label. It is used when you package an item in the same unit in which you ship it. All the type 2 labels need to contain the same items.
4 - Mixed handling unit label. This label corresponds to shipments of mixed items.
Refer to the Overview and User Procedures section of this manual for more information about labels, how they are generated, and how they are printed.
