Sales Order Inquiry - Purpose

The Sales Order Inquiry program (OP800E) is an online program that performs the following functions:

·     Allows inquiry of specific orders or order lines through input of a selected order number/line number combination on a Function Select screen.

·     Allows inquiry of orders based on user-specified selection criteria:  orders by item or orders by customer.

·     Displays general information on each order line via an order recap screen.

·     Displays detailed sales order data via an order header screen.

·     Displays detailed data for a specific order line via a line detail screen.

·     Displays lot information for lot-controlled items.

·     Displays header and line comments via a comments screen.

·     Displays option information for lines that are configured.

·     Displays blanket order shipment scheduling information.

·     Allows the user to enter the Sales Order Maintenance  or Quote Order Maintenance program (OP100E) via F9 (Enter Maintenance).

·     Displays sales order release information by means of a release detail screen.

·      An action code field on the Recap screen allows you to enter an action code at the header level from these screens, which will invoke the header processing program to display, validate and process the header windows.  An action code field on the Line/Release Detail screen allow you to enter an action code at the line level from the line/release detail screen.  It will format the array of line numbers and corresponding action codes, which will be passed to the line processing program.  The sales order line program will read the relevant line, format the fields, and call the window program.  This processing will occur for all lines selected, then control will be returned to the line/release detail screen.

·      Displays the Sales Order Inquiry History screen to display all documents and RMA's for a sales order number or sales order/part number.  This option will only be available in Sales Order Inquiry mode.  The documents created via Invoice and DR/CR entry will not be displayed at the detail level.  RMA's for sales orders will only be displayed if the sales order for the RMA is created via RMA receipt control.
