Backorders by Part Report - Purpose

OP780E

The Backorders by Part Report program (OP780E) prints the Backorders by Part reports.  These reports will highlight all parts which have a shortage.  All sales order lines which are either backordered or unreserved will print in part sequence.  The part's available qty (on-hand dist qty - reserved qty) will print, as well as, the part shortage (if one exists).

The report is sequenced by company, warehouse, part and either:  1) promise ship date or 2) backorder priority.  Depending on the request, the report may print backordered/unreserved sales orders for either one part or all parts.  A promise ship date range may also limit the sales orders which print.

The program processes in either an immediate mode or a batch mode.  When processing in immediate mode, the report request will be passed into the RPG and processed.  When processing in batch mode, the report request file, OP310JP, will be processed.  A promise ship date range may also be specified to limit the report.
