Process Rules Purge - Calculations

EC020E

A.   Housekeeping

1.   See the Common Processing Routines - Housekeeping section of this manual for a general discussion of this subroutine.  Processing specific to this program is described below.

2.   The following information is retrieved from the Reference file.

a.   The operating system's file status codes are retrieved from category 015.  If this record is not found, a message is displayed and the program ends.

b.   The date format record is retrieved from category 049.  If this record is not found, a message is sent to the system operator, the date format defaults to MMDDYY, and processing continues.

3.   The company name is retrieved from the company name record on the System Control file (CT100M).  If this record is not found, the company name defaults to blanks, and processing continues.

B.   Mainline

1.   The Standard Rules to Purge file and the Screen Rules to Purge file are read until end of file.

2.   Rules are eligible for deletion if they have been deactivated.

3.   If a rule is eligible for deletion the associated detail record is deleted from the file.

4.   A detail line is printed on the Rules Reorganization report (EC020A) for  each rule deleted.

5.   Processing continues until all eligible rules have been deleted.

C.   Windup

1.   The "****End Of Report****" line is formatted and printed.
