The User Authority Inquiry Function Select Screen (MA840S01) allows you to enter a user ID or menu name for which you wish to view user authority. The detail information displayed depends on the information entered on this screen as follows:
If you enter a user ID only, the detail screen will display the options for all menus to which the user is authorized.
If you enter a menu name only, the detail screen will display all users authorized to the options within that menu.
If you enter a user ID and a menu name, the detail screen will display all options within the menu to which the user is authorized.
If the user ID and/or menu name you enter is invalid, you remain on this screen and an error message is displayed, prompting you to enter a valid user ID and/or menu name. Once the user ID and/or menu name are valid, the corresponding detail screen is displayed.
USER ID
Required (if menu name is blank). Optional (if menu name is not blank). The user ID identifies the user when signing on to the system. This is the user ID assigned to the user for whom you wish to view user authority. If the menu name is blank, all options and menus authorized to this user ID are displayed on the detail screen. If the menu name is not blank, all options and sub-menus defined for the menu and authorized to the user are displayed on the detail screen. The following validation is performed on this screen:
The user ID must be defined either on Reference File category E16 (system security officer) or on the Security Detail File (MA140M).
This field cannot be all nines.
MENU NAME
Required (user ID is blank). Optional (user ID is not blank). A menu consists of a list of options you can choose from to access conversations or display other menus. The menu name identifies the menu for which you wish to view a list of authorized users. If the user ID is blank, all the users authorized to the menu and the specific options to which they are authorized are displayed on the detail screen. If the user ID is not blank, all the options to which the specified user is authorized are displayed on the detail screen. The following validation is performed on this field:
The menu name must exist on the Menu Master File (MA100M).
There must be at least one user authorized to the menu on the Security Detail File (MA140M).
This field must not be all nines.
