The User Authority Maintenance Detail Screen (MA140S02) displays all options corresponding to the menu(s) you selected on the User Authority Maintenance Menu Screen. You may grant or revoke authority to the menu options for the users specified on the User Authority Maintenance Function Select Screen (MA140S01).
This screen allows you to grant/revoke authority by option (option type = 1), menu (option type = 2), or group (option type = 3). All options for the selected menu are displayed and arranged by groups. To grant authority, enter a '1' in the select field next to the desired option. To revoke authority, enter a '4' in the select field next to the option. If you select a group heading, you also select each of the options within that group. Also, you may choose to revoke or grant authority to all of the options on the menu by pressing F20 (Revoke) or F21 (Grant).
You may view existing option authority information for specific users by pressing F9 (Inquiry) to enter the User Authority Inquiry Conversation. When you exit from the inquiry conversation, you are returned to this screen and any information entered before the inquiry is displayed. You may exit from this maintenance conversation by pressing F3.
MENU NAME
Display Only. A menu is a list of options from which you may choose to access conversations or display other menus. The menu name uniquely identifies the menu for which you are maintaining user authority. The menu description provides more information for identifying the menu, and is defined on the Menu Master File (MA100M).
SELECT
Optional. Used to select one or more options for which you want to grant or revoke user authority. Valid options for this field are: 1 - Grant Authority. Type a '1' to grant the specified user authority to the option displayed next to this field. 4 - Revoke Authority. Type a '4' to revoke authority to the option displayed next to this field for the specified user. To grant or revoke authority by group, type either a '1' or a '4' in the field next to the group heading only. Selecting the group heading automatically selects all of the options under that group.
MENU OPTION
Display Only. The description of the option or group heading defined for the menu. Options on a menu are displayed in groups and are indented under the group heading which identifies the common characteristics of the options within the group. Each group is separated by a blank line.
