The Menu/Option Maintenance Copy Detail Screen allows you to copy all of the options and the attributes of those options from one menu to another. If the maintenance code for copy is entered on the function select screen, and the menu name entered is also valid, this screen is displayed. If the menu name is not valid, the partial screen is displayed to prompt you for a valid menu.
When this screen is displayed, the menu specified on the function select screen is displayed in the top three fields under Menu To Be Copied, and you may enter the name of a menu to be created with the same options as the desired menu in the Menu To Be Created fields. Once the Enter key is pressed and the Menu To Be Created fields are validated, the Menu Master File (MA100M), Menu/Option File (MA120M), and the Security Detail File (MA140M) are updated with the new menu information, and the partial screen is displayed to allow you copy options for another menu.
You may view existing menu/option information by pressing F9 (Inquiry) to enter the Menu/Option Inquiry Conversation. When you exit from the inquiry conversation, you are returned to this screen and any information entered before the inquiry is re-displayed. You may exit from this conversation by pressing F3=Exit. When you create a new menu, all security officers with authority to the old menu are granted authority to the new menu. The function select screen may be displayed from the partial or detail screen by pressing F10=Select.
