The Menu/Option Maintenance Detail Screen (MA120S02) is displayed in two forms: the partial screen, and the detail screen. The detail screen is displayed after valid information is entered on the function select screen (MA120S01), and after a valid menu name is entered on the partial screen.
The partial screen is displayed after the detail screen to allow you to maintain options for another menu with the same maintenance code as the previous transaction. The partial screen is also displayed to prompt you for a valid menu name if you enter an invalid one on the function select screen.
The detail screen allows you to add, change, or delete the option information associated with the menu. Once the Enter key is pressed, the Menu/Option File (MA120M) is updated with the new information and the detail screen is re-displayed with the changed information. If the last option on a menu is deleted or no changes are made to the options, then the partial screen is displayed after Enter is pressed. In add or change mode, all fields on the screen, except the menu name and description, are enterable. In delete mode, all fields are displayed, but only the option (select) field is enterable.
You may view existing menu/option information by pressing F9 (Inquiry) to enter the Menu/Option Inquiry Conversation. When you exit from the inquiry conversation, you are returned to this screen and any information entered before the inquiry is re-displayed. You may exit from this conversation by pressing F3=Exit. If you add an option to a menu, all security officers with authority to the menu group are granted authority to the new option. The function select screen may be displayed from the partial or detail screen by pressing F10=Select.
MENU NAME
Required (partial screen). Display Only (detail screen). A menu is a list of options from which you may choose to access conversations or display other menus. The menu name uniquely identifies the menu for which you are maintaining options. The menu description is display only and provides more information for identifying the menu. The menu description is defined on the Menu Master File (MA100M). If the partial screen is displayed, the following validation is performed on this field:
The menu name must exist on the Menu Master File (MA100M).
If you are in change mode, options must exist for the menu on the Menu/Options File (MA120M).
The menu name must be left-justified. A blank space before the menu name is not allowed.
This field must not be all nines.
OPTION (Select)
Optional (Displayed only in delete mode). Used to select one or more options to delete from the menu. Type a '4' in this field next to the line of the option you wish to delete and press Enter to delete the option from the menu on the Menu/Option File (MA120M). You may also press F21=Select All to delete all of the options from the menu on the Menu/Option File.
USER OPTION NUMBER
Required (add, change). Display Only (delete). This is the number displayed next to the option on the menu. It is used to select the option from the menu in order to access the conversation or display the menu associated with the option. The following validation is performed on this field:
This field must be numeric.
This field cannot be '89' or '90' since they are reserved for Return and Signoff, respectively.
The user option number must not be defined for another option on the same menu on the Menu/Option File (MA120M).
If you change the user option number, the Security Detail File (MA140M) is updated to grant users of the option authority to the new user option number.
OPTION NUMBER
Required (add, change). Display Only (delete). An option is displayed on menus and can be selected to access conversations or display other menus. The option number identifies an option on the Option Master File (MA110M). Each option number is associated with one user option number. The following validation is performed on this field:
The option number must exist on the Option Master File (MA110M).
The option number must be an option type of option (option type 1) or menu (option type 2).
The option number cannot be changed if it exists on the Security Detail File (MA140M).
OPTION GROUP
Required (add, change). Display Only (delete). This code identifies the heading for a group of options on the menu that are functionally related. The group heading cannot be selected from the menu as an option or entered on a command line. For instance, all options related to pricing functions in Order Processing may be grouped under one heading such as Pricing. The following validation is performed on this screen:
The option group must exist on the Option Master File (MA110M).
The option type for the option group must be defined as group (option type = 3) on the Option Master File.
USER OPTION DESCRIPTION/MNEMONIC CODE
Optional (add, change). Display Only (delete). The description provides more information for identifying the option, and it is displayed next to the option number on the menu. If left blank, the description is defaulted from the description defined for the option on the Option Master File (MA110M). The mnemonic code identifies the code that can be used as a fast path to execute the option. If left blank, the mnemonic code is copied from the code defined for the option on the Option Master File.
COLOR
Optional (add, change). Display Only (delete). This field defines the color in which the option will be displayed on the screen. If left blank, the color defaults to white (W).
BLINK
Optional (add, change). Display Only (delete). This field determines whether the option will blink when displayed. If yes (Y) is entered, the color attribute must be red. If left blank, the field defaults to no (N).
REVERSE IMAGE
Optional (add, change). Display Only (delete). This field determines whether the option will be displayed in reverse image. The reverse image attribute is allowed only for the colors green, turquoise, and pink. If left blank, this field defaults to no (N).
UNDERLINE
Optional (add, change). Display Only (delete). This field determines whether the option will be displayed with an underline. Underline with reverse image is allowed only for the colors green, turquoise, pink, and red (without blink). If left blank, this field defaults to no (N).
NON-DISPLAY
Optional (add, change). Display Only (Delete). This field specifies whether the option is displayed on the screen. If a 'Y' is entered, the option will not be displayed. If a 'N' is entered, the option will be displayed on the screen. This field defaults to 'N'. Only a 'Y' or 'N' are valid in this field.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Updates the Menu/Option File (MA120M) with the information entered on the screen if in add or change mode. If an option with an option type of 1 (option) is added, the Security Detail File (MA140M) is updated. If in delete mode, the Menu/Option File is updated and authority to the option is removed on the Security Detail File. Once the files are updated, the detail screen is re-displayed with the changes made previously. If no changes were made or an option was deleted from a menu with only one option, the partial screen is displayed.
F3 - Displays the application menu.
F4 - Displays a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.

F10 - Returns you to the function select screen without updating any of the master files.
F15 - Displayed only on the detail screen. Allows you to re-enter all of the data on the screen.
