IBM Control Language

The IBM control language is a high-level programming language.  MAC-PAC uses this language to control the system functions in several key areas:

·     Menu Programs

·     Program Callers

·     Fast Path

·     Recovery Management

This section discusses the processing characteristics of the IBM control language when used by this software to perform each of the first three system functions listed above.  Fast path processing is discussed only briefly in this section, since more detailed information is provided in the Menu Authorization section.  Information on the use of control language programs for Recovery Management is found in the corresponding section of this manual.
