PLANT

Display only.  The plant for which the part’s demand is shown.

PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION

Display only.  The item whose demand is displayed.

CONSUMPTION CODE

Display only.  Valid values are:

0 - No consumption

1 - Planned Sales Orders/Transfer Orders/Transfer Requisitions/ Synchro Offset Releases only

2 - Component Requirements/Flow Requirements only

3 - All requirements that are listed in options 1 or 2.

DEMAND PERIOD

Display only.  The first day in the planning period, based on the planning period option selected.

PROJECTED DEMAND QUANTITY

Display only.  Specifies the total projected demand from all demand sources for the planning period.  This figure will include projected demand arising from entry at the product family level.

SCHEDULE PERIOD

Display only.  The first working day in the week.

CONSUMED DEMAND

Display only.  Depending on the value of the Consumption Code, which is found on the Part Master file, this field represents the total of consumed demand.

Planned sales orders, transfer orders, and transfer requisitions are those that are considered to satisfy projected demand (forecast).  They are entered with a Planned/Unplanned Code of 'P' through the corresponding maintenance conversations.  (Synchro delivery requests are always planned).  Sales orders are only included in this quantity if they will be relieved from manufacturing inventory or if they will be relieved from distribution inventory at the manufacturing warehouse and the Sales Order Planning flag (on the Warehouse Description file) for this manufacturing warehouse is ‘Y’.

UNPLANNED ORDERS

Display only.  Unplanned sales orders, transfer orders, and transfer requisitions with a promise date that falls within the week.  Unplanned sales orders, transfer orders, and transfer requisitions are unexpected orders that were not taken into account when developing the demand projection.  They are entered with a Planned/Unplanned Code of 'U' through the corresponding maintenance conversations.

NET DEMAND

Display only.  Calculated as the greater of the Projected and Consumed Demand for the week.  The process of netting consumed against projected demand ensures that projected and consumed demand are not double-counted.

UNCONSUMED DEMAND

Display only.  This field represents the total of unconsumed demand depending on the value of the Consumption Code (which is found on the Part Master File).

Consumption Code             Value

0                                        No consumption of forecast

3                                        Consume all requirements found in option 1 and 2.  If
you do not enter a value, the field will default to 0.

EDI DEMAND

Display only.  The demand passed to MAC-PAC through the Future Three interface, if installed.

TOTAL DEMAND

Display only.  The total of demand from all sources.  Calculated as: Net Demand + Unplanned Orders + Unconsumed Demand + EDI Demand.

DEMAND ACTIVITY

Display only.  Total quantity of customer order shipments, component issues, projected demand shipments, and offset releases that have already occurred within the week.
