This screen is used to select a part for which the tentative master schedule is to be maintained. The tentative schedule may also be generated using the batch Tentative MS Generation.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant for which tentative schedule maintenance will be done. Defaults to the plant assigned to the user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PART NUMBER
Required. The part for which the Tentative Master Schedule will be maintained. It must be a valid, active, standard master scheduled part (not a daily master scheduled, requirements planning, or service part).
STARTING DATE
Required. The starting date for which the Tentative Master Schedule will be maintained. Cannot be before the current week start date. Periods prior to the starting date will be considered in the generation of projected inventory but will not be displayed. Defaults to system date.
HORIZON DATE
Required. The ending date for which the Tentative Master Schedule will be displayed and maintained. Defaults from Reference File category 464 using the number of days set on the Horizon field.
SCHEDULE OPTION
Required. Valid values are:
1 - Display existing tentative schedule as last generated.
2 - Calculate an optimal tentative schedule, based on demand, supply and planning rules. If option 1 is entered and a tentative schedule does not already exist, a blank schedule column will be displayed on the detail screen.
PLANNING PERIOD OPTION
Required. Valid values are:
1 - Calendar weeks
2 - Calendar months
3 - Calendar periods
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display detail screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F17 - Used to change the plant in which the user is currently working.
