This screen is used to enter a projected demand quantity for each period.
Once you have typed in all data, press the Enter key. The quantities you entered will be validated. Demand Quantity must be greater than Shipped Quantity for each period. If all quantities are valid, the Projected Demand File (MS150M) will be updated asynchronously. A message will be displayed when the update process is completed.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
Display only. The company/warehouse for in which the demand for the specified part will be projected. You entered the company/warehouse on the Function Select screen.
PART NUMBER
Display only. The number of the part for which the demand will be projected. You entered the part number on the Function Select screen.
PART TYPE
Display only. The type of the part for which you wish to project demand. The standard part types are:
PUR - Purchased Part
MFG - Manufactured Part
RAW - Raw Material
PLN - Planning Part
REF - Reference Part
B/T - Build-Thru Part
N/S - Non-Standard Part
TRN - Transfer Part
NSK - Non-Stock Part
DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description as the part as retrieved from the Part Master File (DE100M).
DEMAND CODE
Display only. The demand code associated with the part being processed. Possible values are:
M - Standard Master Scheduled Part
R - Requirements Planning Part
S - Service Part
D - Daily Master Scheduled Part
DEMAND TYPE
Display only. The description retrieved from Reference File category 463 for the demand type code that you entered on the Function Select screen.
DEMAND FENCE
Display only. Projected demand before this date will not be included in netting logic for standard master scheduled parts in Master Scheduling, and for daily master scheduled parts, requirements planning parts, and service parts in the Requirements Planning Generation. For standard or daily master scheduled parts, this date is calculated using the standard or daily demand fence fields on Reference File category 464. For requirements planning or service parts, this date is calculated using the actual demand window specified on Reference File category D85.
CUSTOMER REFERENCE NUMBER
Display only. The customer reference number entered on the function select screen.
PERIOD, MONTH, WEEK, OR DATE STARTING
Display only. The first date in the planning period.
DEMAND QUANTITY
Optional. Projected demand, or forecast, for the period. The projected demand quantity should be defined in the stockkeeping unit of measure. This demand will be "netted" against the consumable demand for the part, such as sales order and transfer order lines.
SHIPPED QUANTITY
Display only. This is the amount shipped from electronic data interchange batch forecast shipments. If you are not using electronic data interchange, this field will not be updated.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F9 - Enter the Projected Demand Inquiry without updating changes.
F10 - Return to Function Select screen without updating changes.
